The sharpnose puffer, Cathigaster rostrata, is a cute little fellow. The are very good eaters and when smaller do not really bother other tank buddies. They are puffer fish though and like to nibble plants, and small crabs. Since they have such small mouths, the do not do as much damage as thier other family members such as the porcupine puffer or burrfish. They are very interesting to have in the tanks since thier eyes move around and follow movement almost like humans do. The ones that we sell are around 2 to 2 1/2 inches in length.
