The Pterogorgia anceps is found in very shallow water and is very hardy.  This variety of gorgonia does not have flat branches like the other sea whips that we sell and is not rounded like the purple plume or rods. It has rough, well-defined edges, that are sometimes triangular or square.  They are a very pretty deep purple.
